The Andrew James Cast Iron Griddle Pan is fantastic for cooking steaks, salmon, chicken, vegetables and even pancakes! This large griddle plan has two cooking surfaces. One side is ridged for searing and cooking meats to perfection and char-grilling vegetables. Turn it over to cook on the flat griddle pan which is ideal for frying off mushrooms and tomatoes or cooking griddle pan pancakes.
The griddle pan fits across two rings on your hot plate to convert your hob into an indoor bbq or to let you cook griddle pan steak. Because it is cast iron it is suitable for induction hobs as well as electric and gas ones.
Both sides of the griddle pan have non-stick surfaces for easy cooking and easy cleaning.
The large pan measures 50cm x 23cm and weighs approx 4kg. The cooking surface is 42cm x 19cm.
Before you use the griddle pan for the first time, apply a thin layer of vegetable oil to the surface and pre-heat it slowly to season the pan. After use, clean the pan with hot water and a soft cloth or stiff nylon brush. Never clean the griddle pan in a dishwasher or use detergents to clean it. Towel dry it immediately and apply a light coating of oil whilst it is still warm to keep it seasoned and to prevent any rusting to the iron.
